T5 High Output Fluorescents
T5 Lights can be used for propagation or full term lighting in grow light applications. T5 bulbs have a very low heat factor that allows the light fixture to be hung very close to the plant canopy which raises light levels. T5 lights include everything you need: chrome wire hangers, back lit on/off switch, your choice of bulbs (6500K or 3000K) and 6ft. grounded power cord. Optional cable hanger system easily allows raising and lowering the lights.
Each Bulb Puts out a whopping 5,000 Lumens, so in the 8 bulb fixture you get 40,000 Lumens.

Green Thumb Grow Light System™

Compact Fluorescents
Until recently, fluorescent grow lights have had a low output and have been too big and bulky to be of much use as a grow light for anything more than starting seedlings. These new compact full spectrum fluorescent lights shown below have changed that. They are growing in popularity for both propagation and plant growth. These lights are energy efficient and extremely effective especially when used in numbers. While not quite as efficient as HID lights, fluorescents have better color rendering properties (more of the light emitted is used by the plant) and produce much less heat when compared to HID
lights. This allows them to be placed closer to plants (within a few inches) greatly decreasing lumen loss from the bulb to the plant. These compact lights also have a built-in ballast unlike traditional fluorescent and HID lights. The warm Bulbs are 2700K and the Daylight are 6400K.
